Before you decide
Already using the WhatsApp Business app?
Most businesses we talk to are, so here is exactly what happens — before you book a call, not during it.
- The number stays yours. The number, the account and your customers belong to your business, from day one and afterwards.
- The app on that number stops working, and its chat history is deleted. Back up your conversations before we start. This is Meta's behaviour, not ours, and it is the part people are not told often enough.
- After connecting, that number is answered in your CushLabs console rather than on the phone app.
- It is reversible. We can hand the number back and you reinstall the app — but the old conversations do not come back.
If keeping the app on that number matters to you, say so on the call. That option is coming, and it is not available today — we would rather tell you that now than work around it later.
